A directory of East Coast Japanese-Americans, the first of a series published by a New York Japanese newspaper between 1948 and 1956. The book begins with a 53 page section of photographic illustrations celebrating the achievements of East Coast Japanese Americans during and after World War II, including a series of images focusing on the resettlement of Nisei and Issei in East Coast cities after their forced incarceration during the war years. The directory also includes biographies of prominent Japanese Americans, a guide to the New York area, many pages of advertisements, and business and residential directories covering New York, the East Coast, Chicago, Ohio, and New Orleans.
