A scarce work by Pik Kum Chau, the pastor at First Chinese Baptist Church in San Francisco's Chinatown. According to the preface, the contents of the book were taken from a series of sermons Chau gave at revival meetings in San Francisco that also appeared in Chinese language newspapers. These sermons, revised and with additional content contributed by professors at the Berkeley Baptist Divinity School, appear here. The book was published in part as a rebuttal to the Anti-Christian movement in China, and contents include refutations of the arguments of that movement, plus chapters on "The superiority of Christianity to other religions," "exhortations to Christians to live purer lives and to form purer churches," and more.
