Delaware, Ohio: E.T. Nelson, 1888. Quarto, 9.75 x 7.5", string tied slipcase with numerous pre-printed leaves laid in. An herbarium binding issued by Edward T. Nelson, professor at Ohio Wesleyan University, that has been heavily used by J. Van Coit of Locust Valley, New York. Includes numerous plant samples within, together with handwritten notes that date the samples at Locust Valley, NY in 1892. In totalt contains 33 samples of plants, each accompanied by a page of notes. Wear to covers, toning, creasing, and occasional smudging to pages. Item #12109
