The booklet was likely published to attract staff members to work at the hospital, as it includes information on life in the Crownpoint area, its attractions (including Navajo art and events), and housing for Indian Health Service employees. It also prints a double page map of the area, as well as information on the hospital's services and staff, and a section on Navajo culture and medicine which notes that "Navajos may combine the use of our health care system with their beliefs in different ways, sometimes seeking the help of traditional healers before or after visiting the hospital."
