Cincinnati, Ohio: Wrightson & Co, Printers, 1861. Single leaf printed to recto only on yellow paper, almost completely filled out with manuscript to verso. A broadside program for a musical performance held during the graduation ceremony at Walnut Hill Academy, a school in Cold Spring, Campbell County, Kentucky. The broadside prints a list of pieces and performers, mainly young women. On the back, meanwhile, is a handwritten account of the performance, which also references the dwindling enrollment at the school, which was to close due to difficulties imposed by the Civil War: "I witnessed the first part of the Exhibition, which was a very hansome display--really a very nice exhibition...although the school at the close of the session was reduced to not more than twenty scholars, Miss Ada Murnan was the belle of the evening, her singing & playing...Bouquets rained down plentifully on all proper occasions...."
