Food Fashion Revue Cooking School Presented by Lexington Herald-Leader

[Lexington, Kentucky]: [1930s]. Octavo, yellow illustrated wrappers, 8 pp plus text on wrapper versos. A cookbook from a cooking school held in Lexington, Kentucky, in cooperation with the National Live Stock and Meat Board. Similar "Food Fashion Revue" schools were held around the country in 1937, and OCLC locates similar cookbooks from these schools, suggesting that they are stock cookbooks with variant wrappers for each school. The purpose of the school was in part to promote meat consumption, as the book contains two pages listing "Meals Planned Around the Cooking School Meat Recipes," plus pages devoted to "Pork Cuts and How to Cook Them," and "Simple Rules for Successful Meat Cookery." Very good with soiling to covers, small tear to rear wrapper, slight creasing to pages. Item #13912
