The author was a Universalist minister in Philadelphia, Lowell, Ma, and elsewhere. While in Lowell, he edited the literary magazine "The Lowell Offering." Several owner inscriptions and notations throughout, by Thomas Averell of Topsfield, Massachusetts. Staining and wear to cover, corners chipped, good. Item #14146
